    Well , glad i read all the replies before i re-stated everything already here . However , shot a friend's .50 GM 32" drop in barrel , and duly impressed with accuracy over that of the shorter T/C .50 i own since 1987 .

    Bronko , i am 77 and still shoot my .36tc,.45,and .50 tc to point of aim with no problem. My Opinion ; a rifled bore is for a bullet or patched round ball , a smooth bore is for loose shot or a patched round ball . Hence , i also shoot a tc 12 ga. smooth bore.     Need some advice

    Changed out #11 nipple for a musket cap nipple and never looked back ! Works just fine on my .50 , and .56 T/C rifles !! If you are amenable to changing , be sure you get the "correct thread" nipple for your rifle . I think the CVA's are/were metric. I do not know the availability of musket...
