    Success

Your set up looks like mine. I also have the traditions kentucky. It's an inexpensive rifle and nothing fancy about it but its a slow twist for prb and I have not had any problems with mine

    I'm through

Here's another classic. There is a few guys down the road who feed deer in the winter and shoot them with BP(inlines, of all things) or a bow when the regular firearm deer season ends right off their porch. Is this the future of hunting?

    I'm through

Wisc banned deer baiting in 2001 or 2002 and I saw more deer moving about freely than anytime in my PRB hunting career. Then the feed stores raised holy hell and the politicians ****** their collective pants and legalized deer baiting again. It seems the new contest in Wi is not how big of a...

    A mornin' with the boys

The only problem with huntig with my GPR...

With all of these ultra hyper, super expansion, mega caliber with 600,000 ft lbs being sold as deer cartridges today, it's tough to convince the average lay person deer hunter that a small leadball with a patch and a few grains of loose bp can kill a deer. Combine that with the fact that certain...

    I'm through

I'm all done! I shot my first and only bear with my muzzleloader this fall and after this deer season, I am hanging it up. I live in Wisconsin, were it takes a while to get a bear permit. This year, we have had new people who have built newhouses out here starting last spring and they all like...

I have used them. I have fired inside of them. No problems

The only problem with huntig with my GPR...

But, but, but I thought the prb is supposed to be ineffective for game? According to the "experts" and their ballistic charts, that deer is supposed to be just wounded to die many days later.

    Ball discharger

I have seen a ball discharger in cabelas and want to get one so i dont have to shoot at the end of the day. Do you still have to go through the cleaning ritual if you discharge a ball with powder not shot?

    My Buck for this year.

That story reminds me of my first PRB deer. I set up on a piece of unmarked land. A few minutes later, the owner who also was going to hunt that land came by and asked if i had permission to hunt. I explained that the land was unmarked so i didnt know it was private so no bad intentions. We...

    It's contageous!

And when he gets that first deer or bear with it shooting PRB, he will continue to look for his fix. It wont be a pretty sight

    BEAR IS DOWN

I have a dig camera so i will attempt to post some pics. i did have some reservations about using the 50 cal PRB for bruin. that is over now

    BEAR IS DOWN

Finally..my first BP bear! Shot it over bait approx 35 yards, 14 feet i was in a stand. I went out last night and the wind and rain were a happening all day but calmed down towards evening. As legal shooting time was coming to a close, i see a black form coming through the pines Very...
