    Buckshot in your smoothie

    Where I deer hunt it's shotgun with buckshot only. It's thick timber so 25 yds is a long shot. I'm thinking about some round ball about the size of 00 buck in a paper cartridge. Anybody out there shoot anything similiar?

    shootin at 150 yds

    Anybody out there try shootin your flinter at 150yds? Our range here only goes to 100. and I'm dead on with a 6'oclock at that range. Load is 120 grains, homemade lube, pillow ticking path in a 54 cal colerian barrel.

    knifemakers - I got this old file

    Well, I have an old file. 3/16 thick, 2" wide. 12+" long. The teeth are dull and unusable. I want to make a knife out of it. Do I just work it down on the belt sander or does the metal temper need to be changed?

    How do I lighten trigger pull?

    Pretty self explanatory. Trigger is single. Lock is a L&R eary style flinter. Trigger isn't catchy. I'd just like it a little lighter.

    Gettin close!

    Last night on the way to a clients house, 8 hens crossed the road in front of me. I stepped on a rabbit while in the clients field. On the way home a doe was gettin some dinner not 20 yards from the road. Oh yeah, the warning ticket for 51 in a 40 topped the whole evening off!

    WOW!! Took both my flinters out for their first shootin. The .54 cal Virginia shoots more accurately than I can point.     max prb load in a smoothie

    Interested in how far some of you are pushing the prb loads in your 62 cal smoothie. Haven't pushed mine beyond 60 grs 2f yet. This gun's a lot lighter than my 54 cal gpr. I have gone 120 grs 2f in the gpr. All I can say is wow, I don't do that very often.
