    I have used1.5 ozs of copper coated #4 shot and a shot cup with punched out cardboard wads over shot for years and have killed many turkeys with 80 hrs of pyrodex select Thru my knight tk2000 my barrel is shinier than a new dime ....!!

    I just punch out cardboard wads and use a shot cup that holds 2.5 ozs copper coated # 4.been using this for years and harvested many turkeys with it out to around 40 yds...

    Get a bore scope camera and slide it down the bore so you can see what the heck is going on in there. ..harbor freight has all ranges from Cheap to expensive I paid $80.00 for mine and it’s great....I have checked out several muzzle loader barrels for friends ...the expression are priceless...

    I would use a tooth pick and put a dab on about 2threads from face of the nipple to keep the face free of any contamination...and don’t over tighten....doesn’t take much...
