    Weasel, I've used the Coleman lantern striker with ether and hair spray as the propellant. Accuracy suffers in that you have to twist the striker to get it to spark and it will get gummy from 'tater juice. Your flint and lock should work but you may get some unwanted gas vent from the touch...

    sse, I use cast iron camping and at home. I've read that the Chinese products have a different texture to the iron and it won't "cure" properly so as to prevent sticking and I have avoided them for the that reason. I've had good success locating good quality cast iron cookware at flea markets...
