    40 cal heavy bench gun powder load question

    I need a starting point or general range for powder loads. Its 40 cal. H&H barrel from the early 80s. Approx 36 in long. Outside, flat to flat 1.125 in. Boar is 404 X 420 using my digital caliper The barrel does use a tapered false muzzle for loading I will be shooting 2F black powder

    ball size for revolver

    I just purchased a pietta 1853 remington 36 cal revolver. I have read that it fires .375 size balls. The chambers measure .368 to .370. I have hundreds of .400 balls, and other than additional pressure to load would there be any potential damage to the gun?
