I believe they were originally meant for double barrels.;)

    Endoscope recommendations

You will get my vote for the Teslong. Mine just arrived last Thursday and I have had some time to play with it. As I am still in the dark ages with only a flip phone I purchased the NTG-100 that plugs into the USB port on my PC. You will get a three mirror set with the NTG series. I believe...

Updated TC cock installed, TC PA Hunter

Just a thought on your vent liner. Personally I like the TC bushings with the 1/8" hex rather than the stock liners. Oxyoke use to sell some similar to TCs but it sounds as though they might be iffy right now. The TC hex bushing part# is 7327 if you can find them. I like these because you have...

Updated TC cock installed, TC PA Hunter

Hey, not bad! I would be with TerryK. If you can flip that flint to bevel down and still get a solid clamp you will get a higher strike. Also what size flints are you using? It appears that you could be closer to the frizzen at half cock. At the suggestion of a member here I went to 3/4" X 7/8"...

    TC Renegade Cock Geometry Adjustment

I hate to be repeating things here but I can't stress enough specify new style. Rather than order on line , call and talk to them directly . If you do place an on line order, email them also to be sure you receive a new style frizzen. When I ordered my new style cocks I received one new style...

    TC Renegade Cock Geometry Adjustment

Have you checked on a new style TC frizzen from The Gun Works? TC not only changed their cock but also there is a new frizzen. The original was case hardened. The new style is coal black and I believe hardened through. I believe this frizzen is equal to the Lyman . If you go that route be sure...

    CLOSED TC Renegade hammer

My first stop would be The Gun Works Muzzleloading Emporium. They apparently bought TC's stock of replacement parts.

FOR SALE WTB T/C flintlock frizzen

Be certain that if you purchase a TC frizzen you get the new version. The old style are case hardened and it is likely that once that hardening is worn away you will will be looking for another. The new version will be jet black and hardened through. The Gun Works may have both. Specify new...

White lightning touch hole in a Thompson Center, Hawken

Hey sounds like you have a plan Dieselmech. There should be a chamfer around the hex slightly larger than the broach. Just cleaning that up may help. Whether you subscribe to the never remove the liner camp or do remove and this is a completely different argument that I don't care to begin, you...

White lightning touch hole in a Thompson Center, Hawken

Which TC liner do you have now? I changed mine over to the 7327 liners with the 1/8" hex in both of my rifles years ago and have no ignition problems provided I take care of the rest. I know some guys don't care for the appearance To each his own. I believe they made a big difference. Take...

    Considering a Double

Thanks for the info so far. You guys are not helping me keep my money in my pocket but I asked. I have heard that the bore diameters are closer to 11ga. For those that have used shot cups is there any issue in getting a standard 10 gauge cup into the barrels? How about past the improved cylinder...

    Considering a Double

I have been looking at the Pedersoli doubles for a while now. I especially like the waterfowl 10 ga. A couple of questions for you guys that have them. Are the early models safe for steel shot? Oh yeah, I know about steel and the lack of velocity necessary for clean kills. I currently shoot a...

    Clogged nipple

I use Birchwood Casey Barricade on all metal parts including the bore and have no rust issues. Yes the breech also as it is a dry film that will not give you problems.

    New frizzen for T/C? . . . .

Yup, Oxyoke has them. Look for the Lyman frizzens machined to fit TCs. About $34 bucks. I bought a replacement for each of my TCs several years ago. Haven't tried them yet. TC replaced the frizzen on my Renegade quite a few years ago. The replacement, like yours, was the new style (black) rather...
