Primer Compound -- getting it to stick

Took me almost 4 weeks to get my cap maker but it's worth the wait. Use the home made caps for target and bought caps for hunting.

    Creative Ignition

I have the cap maker from 22sharpshooter.com and it works good. The caps aren't pretty but work good. I have used paper roll caps cut to fit {2 per cap} or you can get priming compound from 22sharp shooter

    Hawken traditions

I bought a Traditions Deer Hunter combo or a pac that a .50 barrel and a .32 barrel with one stock, fooled around and found a second stock on ebay so now I don't have to change barrels. But it takes luck and care to find a barrel to fit the barrel.

How to figure out what load to use?

My 50 cal. load is 85 gr. for deer, but have seen pet loads between 70 and 100 gr. just depends on what your rifle likes and what your comfortable with.

    Possibles bag

The OP asked about a Possibles bag , but I see answers about a shooting bag, ball bag or gun bag I thought a possibles bag was kinda between a shooting bag and a Haversack. In my shooting bag its 6-18 ball, patching and caps to fire them, a patch worm and a nipple wrench and pick and that's...

    Possibles bag

My possibles bag carries my fire kit a CO2 discharger maybe a cows knee if rain is forecast and maybe an oily rag to wipe the iron works. Everything else changes based on length of outing, weather and what I'm doing that day.

    Historic revolver lube?

I took the "ball pointed end up" to be the sprue, and soft lead ball would allow a press fit in the chamber that shaves a ring of lead off on the chamber wall. If a ball is fitting that tight there will be no chain fire from the front of the cylinder and no need for grease/lube over the ball...

    .50 CVA pistol

I would take it at that price, even if you found that you didn't like it there is still room to make a little coin on a re-sell

    range scrap for rpb

Yes it will work. in fact some guys like a harder lead for PRB for hunting big boned game animals as it gives a little more whomp and penetration on big ribs and shoulder blades.

    Loaded

Well I have a CO2 discharger or unloader and if at the end of a day hunting I want to unload my rifle without firing I use the discharger. The mini will exit at a pretty good clip so muzzle control is a must as the mini COULD pass through drywall but a good pile of rags or leaves in a large...

    Dry balled my ML

I use a CO2 discharger and have for a few years. It lives in my range box and stays in my possibles bag when hunting. Have used it on a couple of dry balls but it really shines in hunting camp at the end of the day if you want to load fresh powder and ball after hunting in wet conditions...

    CVA Kentucky Rifle

While CVA is Spanish made and on the low end, I have been told some of the older CVAs barrel is marked MADE in the USA and is a high quality barrel and "could" be worth the price. Jim
