    I was told to start with replacing the nipple. If too much gas comes back through you will get hammer bounce back.

    Well I didn’t find a rendezvous in Goshen unfortunately. I did come home with 2 boxes of old stock .490 ball from the local shop. Not a total loss

    My kit came with both sights also, the fixed sight was over filed and is too loose to use. I’m hoping to find one. The other one works but doesn’t do the rifle justice.

    TC Hawken Rifle barrel/caliber swaps

    I’m dealing with the same CT issue, my plan is to just find a .36 at some point. I have never tried swapping parts in muzzloaders, with modern stuff I always need to check the zero, I would probably have the same thing with a muzzleloader.

    Mine has 4 holes, I haven’t tried to remove the sight or tang. That’s how i got it.

    I just looked at my Renegade, and it has 2 screws in the sight base separate from the tang screws
