This was the first cap-n-ball pistol I ever purchased. I have had it about 20 years and was my favorite shooter. I have not fired it in close to 15 years, but is still one of my favorites.

This has the desirable (at least, to me) 4.5" barrel, which I think is the best of both worlds between the shorter snub-nosed guns and the longer 5.5 or 6.5" inch barrels.

I don't see a Pietta model in this size for sale any longer.

Offered at $385 or best offer - shipped CONUS

I accept money orders, checks (held until it clears my USAA checking), or various other popular online payment methods.

Nice looking gun. How is the bore? Any picture of it?
And, I am likely mistaken but it looks like it is a six shot. If so, wouldn't it be an 1861, not an 1862?

Yeah, I'm not sure on the 61 vs 62.. it is a 6 shot. I could be remembering it wrong. I do recall Pietta calling this a Police model.

Bore is nice.

61 Navy, has the notches and screws for a shoulder stock. The 62 has a rebated cylinder and the the table has been modified to fit the cylinder. The arbor is small and its a 5 shot cylinder. Its tiny compared to the 61 pocket police.

Thanks for the info. It appears that this is a 1861 Police 6-shot. Thanks for the correction!
