I recently bought a Pietta LeMat for my Christmas present and now want a Tower Of Power loading stand so I don't have to rely on the flimsy loading arm/ram/pivot that the pistol came with and frequently breaks. I need someone to verify the DIAMETER of the 20 gauge shotgun barrel (OD)that the cylinder revolves around. I used a vernier caliper on mine and I got a reading of .825" Is that the diameter of the loading stand pin I need for my LeMat or are there other various diameter dimensions I need to know about (I guess what I'm asking is my .825" OD reading accurate and nominal for the Pietta replica LeMats)?? THANKS for the assist and info!!!

I would recommend you measure the inside diameter of the cylinder and size the pin slightly smaller than that. The cylinder doesn't have to be a snug fit. If I remember correctly the threads where the pin screws into the base are 1/4-20 but I can do some digging to find mine and check later. The locating pin would be breeze to make in a lathe. The Tower of Power is a beautifully finished product.

I just checked, it's 1/4-20.

Welcome to the forum, I've seen you on some of the other groups.

THANK YOU very much for the info. I really don't want to take the LeMat apart until after I've cleaned it real good once I unwrap it on Christmas morning. I hope to get the TOP ordered this week and I know DD has made them to fit the LeMat since that gentleman on YOUTUBE uses one to load his replica LeMat in a video I've watched several times. I just figured that all the Pietta replicas would pretty much have the same dimensions and that someone would post them for me. I don't think/know if DD has the information stored somewhere but he asked me to mike the arbor/barrel OD for him to have to make a custom pin(??). THANKS again and I appreciate any and all help/info that I can get.
