    Goodbye Goex :(

I called Hodgdon just now, and yes, it is true. Production of all black powder is stopped. They are selling what they have in inventory and then that is it folks. The representative I talked to said the immediate shutdown is because they could no longer make a profit. Just not enough sales...

    Rochester?

Any BP shooting opportunities around Rochester? I will be going through a 3 week outpatient therapy program at Mayo. and would enjoy a break in the routine on evenings and weekends. I am from Missouri, so will be living in a motel or air BRB for 3 weeks. Thanks, Bruce

Took my flintlock rifle to the range after 5 years... had some challenges...

Far as flash in the pan, the first thing I do when this happens to me is to pick the touch/vent hole with a vent pick; whitch is just a small dia. piece if wire.

    My first smoothbore

I think the poor boy or barn gun would be more affordable for now and in .62/20 ga. I wish Kibler would make some smoothie kits but i didn't see any if he did. I really like the looks of the Tullies but they are probably out of my budget for now.
