I've been an avid BP enthusiast since age 11 (1974) and while not yet a re-enactor, i'm constantly studying the lifestyles that made survival possible for the early settlers.....and allowed many to flourish and establish towns and raise families in what had recently been wilderness.
I'm especially studious of the area of N.E. Alabama and its' relations to the flight to the Miss. Territory from Ga. through the end of the Redstick (Creek) War, and the part it played in our Civil War and Reconstruction.

My reason for this specific interest is that i'm sitting on what was origionally Chief Ladigas land, 10 miles N.E. of the Tallasehatchee battle site, 10 miles South of where the "Incident at Cross Plains" took place (1870), 12 miles North of the Battle of Ten Islands and destruction of the Janney Iron Furnace in 1863, and 1/2 mile from the grave of "The Gallant" Maj. John Pelham .
I've been a certified Gunsmith since '96 specializing in "Antique, Classic, & Obsolete Firearms".
