    Self defence

IMO, a person usually expects a violent criminal to be other than an individual with a job and a wife and children. :surrender:

    book NOT recommended...

I agree with White Bear. I just read both recently, and I interpreted it as showing how prisoners were lied to and mistreated by the British and Indian allies during the Kentucky Campaign. I didn't notice anything seriously bad, IMO.

    Interesting new or old books?!

I have read THE LAST EXILE by Charles Durham. It is about a Frenchman who leaves society and lives with the Chippewas in 18th c. Canada. Also, THE WINDS OF AUTUMN by Jim R. Woolard. It is about 1790's Kentucky, about 2 brothers and their search for their sister, a Shawnee captive.

History shows that religous freedom isn't free even here in America. Intolerence to people of different religon, race, ethnicity, is still alive even today.

Very interesting that the LDS hasn't been able to block it, but it IS something that needs to be known to all, that religous "jihad" isn't just an Islam trait.

    Sharpe's Rifles

I found most of the books in paperback at the local Dollar General stores, and the rest at the local used book store.

I have it on VHS and my kids have just about worn the tape out watching it. Their Aunt bought it in Shreveport for us a few years ago.
