Ever let one go That you Should have Kept? (p1853 Enfield)

Half-stock .50 cal Hawken made in the 1970's by a Mr. Ritchey from Montana...boy, it sure was sweet! Also, a custom all-steel Scottish .50 cal pistol made by Bob White from Bakersfield, CA (with a brass barrel made by Ed Rayl). Dumb and dumber @ the time...

FOR SALE Matched Pair of Heiland Cattle Horns for sale...

I purchased these about 10 years ago with great ambitions to create a matched set of Highland drinking horns in the style of the 17th/18th Century Scottish clans complete with Celtic knotwork engraving, silver inlay, etc. but time has gotten the better of me and it's best to pass them on to...

    Ball-Peen Hammer spontoon tomahawk

Thanks for the kind compliment, sir! As with most things as I get older is finding enough time (and access to a forge:)... Regards, Prairie Banditti

    Ball-Peen Hammer spontoon tomahawk

I see that there are some earlier threads about making a tomahawk out of a ball-peen hammer - this is an unfinished spontoon-type I forged back in the late 90's out of an ~1.4 oz head...best friend on this project was access to a power hammer! Regards

SOLD LEE Single Cavity Round Ball Molds in .690 and .490

My apologies for the duplication (and I can't figure out how to delete the earlier post from Sunday), but my original post was for a single LYMAN ball mold, but added another - these actually are LEE round ball molds in .690 and .490. The .690 is NIB and the .490 is used, but in very good...

Modifying a commercial Murdoch Scottish steel pistol

Gents, sorry for my delay in responding... Nice pix, Auldjin, and in reply to Commodore Swab, there are example of the steel frame with brass barrels...the one I am using as my "template" is the Boswell pistol @ Malahide Castle in Dublin (if you have, or can access page 70 of "The Swords and the...

Need a recommendation on snake gaiters

Late to this post, but my money would be to buy a set of "Turtleskin" snake gaiters - check out the videos on their website - pretty convincing testimonial to their product. What I like is the flexible fabric that doesn't chafe your shins after a few hours in the field.

Wow - you sure did a fantastic job on putting your fowler together...if you don't mind, I may have some questions for you when I get my Chambers smooth rifle kit...

    Scottish ramshorn pistol modification advice...

Dear ML Forum members, This thread is based on one started back in 2019 by Glenn Osborne (whom I don't think is a member anymore) who had some interesting fabrication insights into modifying a Dixie GunWorks/Middlesex Trading Co.-type of the India-made all steel flintlock Scottish pistols sold...

Modifying a commercial Murdoch Scottish steel pistol

Here is an updated pix...the flat brass stock will eventually be turned into a belt hook - I'm going to shallow score a line @ the bend(s), anneal it to soften it up, then bend it on a bench vise and file it down into the finished form. The trigger and pick balls were 7/8" threaded brass that...
