    Indiana builder...Billy Vieters..(sp)..Anyone recognize the name ?....

    I grew up in Brazil,In. My Dad was Sheriff and Chief Deputy from 1955 to 1970. I went with him on a couple occasions to visit a friend of his who built muzzle loaders.. I think I spelled his name right. Billy was well know in the hobby..and just buying one of his guns could take a couple years...

    I think I need a Percussion Mechanic !

    Thank you for the help. I will contact them. I spent some time this AM doing a good cleaning of the barrels. Got both nipples clear..and found under the grime..that the barrels have a scroll and dot decoration in silver near the breech..

    Buck and Ball front sight..

    The gun has a small blade sight..but just behind that is a dovetail that is not the standard 3/8" ..Looks closer to 1/4 "..Any thoughts..or are smaller sights available?..thanks..Jerry..
