  • Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.

We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.

NEXT: What are the "Reasons" some leave Muzzleloaders loaded?

"Well stated...so the real question is why don't we unload ( pull bullet or shot from casing and dump powder out and also remove primer ) when using a modern firearm.... this in essence is what we are being asked to do...right! Silly to do this and just as silly to be asked to unload the charge...

Anyone made a peep to fit Rengade now?

Williams has two FP models listed for pre-1991 T/C Hawken and Renegade rifles; #1340 and #1342 which may need drilling and tapping one hole. You could always contact them for more info. http://www.williamsgunsight.com/gunsights/FPpage.htm

    New englander sight options

"It appears that we both had similar thoughts and posted at the same time." Hmmm, either it was a strange coincidence, orrrrrr .... We are actually mind-linked twins who were separated at birth, and our mother was very slow at getting the job done.

    Black powder substitutes

Pyrodex and Triple7 work well in my Lyman Deerstalker .50 caplock and would probably be fine if you can obtain them.

    New englander sight options

I don't think that Zeiss scope has enough eye relief, but I sure would like to get a set of those invisible scope rings.

Bought a LOADED 1863 Springfield at Civil War show this weekend!

"As we approach a million subscribers at MY Internet home ..." Glad to see THAT hasn't gone to your head.

L.H. Bedford Co. Rifle, "W.G. Sutter" just sharing....

    Traditional muzzleloading on the wane?

It seems to me that it's easier to know who supports our 2nd Amendment rights than those who would destroy them. Organizations like the NRA, NSSF, NMLRA and state elements such as Buckeye Firearms Association here in Ohio are doing all they can to preserve our freedoms. Failing to support them...

    Interesting Find

"I think it's a disgrace to let a horn serve in any other role than as a dispenser of black powder." You might get some disagreement from the cattle that grew them.

    Mink Oil Tallow

Well that's depressing news, and it sure ruins my plans for a tailor made three piece suit of chimpanzee hide. Darned animal lovers.
