    Bear Hide Crafts?

I made a pair of “wooly bear” chaps, loved them for riding fence lines in the winter… a word of advice, don’t hang them on the tack room door where your new heeler puppies can reach them or you will have wholly confetti. 😁

    Pedersoli double flint rifle

I know this is a year old thread but I am wondering if anyone has seen one of these yet? I have a Pedersoli sxs 20ga and I'm really enjoying it, my first choice would be to source just the barrels BTW the manufacturer hasn't responded to my inquiries and I'm starting to think I should order a...

    Another smoothbore whitetail

I haven’t but with 60 gr charge behind a RB the kick is minimal and I wouldn’t be too worried about shooting both barrels.. Maybe that would cure me from ducking away from the flash.. both barrels might make me steady since I can’t duck in both directions at once. 😁

She was about 35 yards.. shot was high breaking her back and exiting her front shoulder.

    Another smoothbore whitetail

My first year hunting with a flintlock, I stuck with my Pedersoli 20ga SxS for the entire firearm season and in the final 30 minutes of the last day I decided to fill my tag with a young doe.. I think I’m hooked! 😁 .600 RB on top of a 60 gr charge of 3F Swiss..

My understanding of the Stitsville range is that they are not even taking applications. I’m in Perth and the closest range is smiths falls where the waiting list is supposed to be over 500 so I shoot on the family property for now, we will sell next summer and,I’ll be looking for a new...

    Black Squirrels

I’m north of the border in SE Ontario having just moved back after a 30 year stint out west. When I left here it was extremely rare to see a grey squirrel only black, now I probably see 10% greys.. I don’t have the research to back it up but I’m told grey squirrels are more often seen in the...

    Irish Shot Charger question

I have #6 in it and that’s the smallest I use.. I called Dixie and they offered to try to find a replacement that opens more if I return it.. I think I’ll go that route and if the replacement is the same I’ll look at modifying it..

    Irish Shot Charger question

I just built a shot bag and installed a Irish Shot Charger from Dixie, I half filled the bag with #6 lead, tipped it down and pulled the cup. I was expecting a full charge but what I really got was about six pellets in the bottom.. in order to fill the measure I have to manually raise the...
