    Every original I have seen had one complete twist per barrel length. Most are quite short. Those make for some really tight twist rates.

Most of the parts I sourced through TOW, but I sourced the barrel directly from Rice, and the stock from Petronica (spelling ?, I'm a couple beers in so who knows if I got that spelled right). The front swing swivel TOW sent me is only 15/16" on the inside dimension...

    Hi, I've been shooting for several decades. Decided I want to try my hand in Muzzle loading. Closest thing so far is a Shiloh Sharps 40-70 SS that I have had since around 2006-ish. Was on the waiting list for nearly 2 years before they even started to build that gun. If I had to do it all over...
