    Peep sight question.

    Theoretically all sights (or 99.9% of them) are lined up with the center line of the bore of the firearm. Therefor any peep sight that will fit your rifles will work for you. Think of it this way. There are no "left handed" scopes.

    I am new to Muzzleloaders so I can only speak of "modern firearms". I lap my new barrels with J-B Non-Embedding Bore Cleaning Compound. I try to do ten patch's a night each with ten strokes. For a week. It certainly cant hurt.

    You just want to "Polish" so just use a good metal polish. If its really grimmy you can apply the meatal polish with some really fine steel wool. See how it cleans up then maybe you could go to the sand paper.
