I finished building a New England fowler that has a 52 1/4" barrel, 69 caliber. Its quite thin at the muzzle and light. I have no idea who made it but it's pretty cool.
I bring a hole with me to drop the butt into so I can load it easier šŸ˜

The Afghan jezails had long barrels and supposedly were very deadly at long distances. And were large caliber so that helped too.
