Whitetail blood on Roy's rifle

All these posts just bolster my argument for a high shoulder or neck shot UNDER THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES. At short range, they are highly doable, and if you shoot your rifle enough, you will have to confidence to do it. Out here, if you hit a deer or elk like was described in the previous posts, you will have your work cut out.
Invariably the animals will run downhill, and away from roads, etc. Packing out uphill s&^%$s! Especially by yourself and at my age.

So do you still get to hunt with Roy's gun this weekend or the GPR? I'm planning on hunting tomorrow evening after schoo, Saturday and Sunday morning because Saturday afternoon I'm heading for Missouri to a club shoot. This one's the closest one yet at only 30 minutes away.
