Mike,

I have been into the Pawnees several times. Somwehere around here I got a full set of maps. Went up on the buttes as well as prowled the grass lands. Saw some lopes and deer. Saw a burrowing owl sitting outside "his" prairie dog hole too.

Was not hunting, and never went back to hunt. Might be good for bunnies around those buttes where there is a lot of rock fall!

Man, I never thought about bunnies!
Big bore, we have a law that puts the onus on the hunter. You must find out if the landowner will let you hunt, he doesn't have to post his land.
Sorry to both of you for taking so long, weekends are family time.

Not add any more fuel, well..

Here in Massachusetts it has been tradition and law that in most towns any land that is not posted is open to trespass. With the exception of about one fifth of the towns in the Bay State if you see a stretch of woodland and there aren't any signs, you can go hunting.

It has been that way for centuries.

And that is why lands I hunted for years are now posted, slobs who run over roughshod on others property without the common respect to ask permission.

We posted our land when pigs erected permanent "tree houses" in mature hardwoods, driving in spikes all the way up. Ruined all the trees for lumber. They littered around the tree house with beer cans and other spoor.

Even after posting MY LAND, I have crunchy cross country skiers trespassing and telling me "you can't hunt here, this land is posted...." Reply:GTFO and your manure laying dogs too.......
