I just revolved it until no more spun out. Never counted the revolutions.

One of the things I DID do was to empty & wipe the hopper during sifting to keep a better handle on when the fines stopped falling.

When I sifted the 3F for 2F hold, it almost poured out of the screen and held almost nothing (I think I captured, at best, a half dozen 2F "clumps" from all the brands.)
 
Most might think that I'm crazy but as I said, I took the instructions literally. I used the supplied brush regularly to keep the screen openings clear. I actually turned that darn thing 3500 times per quarter pound. The instructions said to fill the screen with a quarter of a pound at a time. Like I said, it was border line exaustive. I know get a life. All in the name of weights, measures and uniformity. I now know that my 3F is really 3F. Tom
