Recently I heard they are short-handed and not currently producing swamped barrels.

Jim Kibler was rifling the barrel blanks from Green Mountain on anything smaller than .45 Cal

My understanding is that Jim Kibler buys GM for Caliber 45 and up. The 32 36, and 40 are RIce. Kibler contours them in house. He experimented with rifleing his own in house. That did not pan out as a production thing. I bought a small caliber barrel thinking I would get Kibler but I got Rice. IF it matters you need to call or email them.

Jim may chime in, he monitors this forum.

I would love to get a kibler kit but the wait is not something a 66 yr old kid can deal with.

Called Rice today and ordered an 8 bore barrel 46 inches long with a full jug choke. 10 month wait. No problem. I'm only 65 so I have a lot more time than you do.

By the way on that flint post I had and you said the lock geometry was great. I finally got a video of firing a primed pan. It's on page two. I think it's pretty fast too.

Don't know why more folks don't use 3/4 " str. oct. barrel for making .40 cal.'s and smaller. My favorite woods running gun is a .40 cal. w/ 3/4" straight oct. in 40 " length. It 's about 5 lb's , and like carrying a walking stick. It's accurate to a fault. Will have to cobble up a peep sight for on it's tang soon.

Getz barrels come in different sizes. Pecatonica River handles those barrels. I have one on a Jaegar that I built. The balance is great, and it is a good shooter. First shot was a 10x offhand at 50 yards.
