German Flintlock Pistol Axe

This unique attempt by craftsmen in 17th century Germany to combine the strength of gunfire with a battle axe is captured here in this unique piece.

The design of the gun/axe handle is straight to accomadate axe usage. A metal knob is secured to the end of the handle for use with a lanyard. German flintlock pistol axe, late 17th century, 21-5/8" long.
