Your photos are rather blurry. What is the size and shape (round/octagon) of the barrel channel?

Interested but need to know what it is made of, what it was for and if there are any cracks or damage etc.

No cracks. round 1" channel. I don't know what kind of wood.
It's a traditions blunder buss. Wood is beech.
