Selling a basically brand new CVA Squirrel kit in the box. I say basically new, because I started working on the kit (just polished the barrel flats with a 400 grit stone to a satin finish), remove the casting marks from the brass trigger guard. As seen the the pictures - everything is complete and in fantastic condition - ready to be completed. The inletting is great from the factory - it all fits together nice and tight! The barrel is stamped “83”, so I assume the kit is from 1983.
I would like to finish this kit out, however due to life, I will no longer have the time to complete it.
Asking $400 or best offer plus shipping, as a similar traditions kit is going for $525 these days…

Is the barrel in the channel the entire way? Looks like a gap between the drum and the lock?
Am interested in this.

Just took a look at it - the barrel isn’t fully seated in the barrel channel- looks like some wood needs to be removed, but not much. The barrel is really tight in the Channel. The rear half fits good, but it tightens up as the barrel is dropped in (towards the front).
Just eye balling it - that is equivalent to the gap between the lock and the barrel channel.

What is the twist please! Thanks Reds
I am not sure exactly, as it doesn't state anywhere on the packaging. I put a tight patch down the bore, and it took around 16-19.5 inches to move half of a revolution - so that would put the twist rate somewhere around 1:32 and 1:40. I would guess it is probably a 1:32 or a 1:36 according to a quick search on the forum here. They are supposed to shoot round ball well and maybe some conicals?
