No swabbing or wiping here either. I use a tight ball/patch combination that is lubed with a wet lube. It wipes when I seat the ball on the powder.
Now those that use a greasy patch I can see wiping after a few shots. But for maximum accuracy nothing beats a wet lubed patch such as spit or a soluble oil/water mix.

This has been my experience also.
 
no guys i dont swab between shots either until my rifle requires it. the type of guys on this board arent who im reffering to. im talking about guys who shoot inlines with scopes artificial powder and plastic wapped bullets think theyre shooting a real muzzleloader and then give wrong advise to someone like the original poster. if they are telling him to use black powder substitute in a flinter thyere giving him poor advise.I meant no disrespect to you guys and certainly wouldnt tell you what works best with your particular rifle
