Probably not known to many here, but a friend, Phil Busico passed this morning. We knew this was coming. He had been fighting cancer for a couple years. Phil was originally from New York state and long competed with flint rifles there. He was also an accomplished builder. He retired to near Ava in Missouri. He founded the Barren Fork Traditional Muzzle Loaders. The club is located near Gainesville, MO and draws members and shooters from a large area ranging from Springfield, MO to Mountain View, Arkansas. Even when ill he seemed to have boundless energy. We knew he was suffering but he never could do enough to make the club better. In his final weeks a sign was made and will be hung on the firing line which is now dedicated in his name. I'm proud to have known him and be able to call him friend.
