Recently I've picked up a couple of black powder rifles with characteristics of those made in the Pennsylvania schools of production. As is the problem with unsigned guns, you can't attribute them to a specific maker or county within that of the Pennsylvania Rifle. Stock contours, brass, and other attributes indicate one county or another but without a signature, it's considered just another gun. I have several Henry Leman rifles of good quality which were made sometime between the 1840's and 1860's. Nice rifles, which I believe have been overlooked for some time and are now just coming into their own as being collectible. I'd like to hear more from other members out there about some of the guns of this style they are collecting. Soon I will post some Pictures of my guns, still figuring a few things on how to upload.
