Picked up some old gun stuff and this mold was in the mess. A .530 roundball fits nice and tight. I think it might be older than me.

The number stamped on an old mold should be an indication of the number of balls per pound it will cast. A 0.530 ball is 31 balls per pound. A 0.550 ball is 28 balls per pound. You may have to cast a few balls to verify the correct size.
Some time ago I bought a very cheap old mold that was being sold as 12 caliber, Sure enough, it was a 12 gauge mold. I also found a 21 caliber mold that was perfect for my 20 gauge fowling gun.
