New Horn

My newest horn turned up today from the states, only took a little over a week.

I personally like the restrained beauty of this one, there's no engravings or elaborate work to hide behind. Everything is just perfectly done by hand. It will be my main hunting horn from now on

Was hoping to get out this weekend but been teetering on the edge of a migraine so had to give it a miss. It was the last weekend of rut hunting, will be getting out again in another month or so when work has a small lull.

I was corrected by the maker that technically scrimshaw is what you do on bone and ivory, horn can only be engraved. An interesting tidbit for me.
