Use your imagination - sling or bag strap.
It is 1-1/2” wide, 1/16” thick leather sling/strap measuring 35” at the shortest adjust (one could easily add more holes) and 49” at its longest. It is a dark chocolate brown in color. The buckle could possibly need a good polishing, but I despise bright brass, so I just let it patina naturally.
I use one similar on my hunting longrifle, temporarily tied on with leather laces, for when we knock a deer down and I want to sling my longrifle and have free use of
both hands.
