Neat, An uloo is an Eskimo knife, I believe, great for slicing blubber. Did you make it from a round saw blade?

Did you make it from a round saw blade?

No, I cut it from medium high carbon steel (I forget the Rockwell number) and ground and shaped it myself...

It weighs 3 pounds and the handle is made from sassafras wood, it has a 23 inch cutting surface with two " meat hooks" on each end... :haha: :winking:

I was trying to make something like a battle axe crossed with a potatoe chopper...

Anyway, he loves it...

Someone did break into his house once, only to see a crazed-bearded man holding this knife and a shotgun and a picture of his ex-wife... :shocking:

Maybe the ex-wife was over kill, but the intruder didn't stay long...
