In my 24 gauge I use both stiff paper wads and felt wads (both from track) I put one or two felt over the powder (depending on how many I have), shot, then a single overshot cardboard wad. Its snug enough to the barrel wall that I only use one and it gives me an amazing seal. You can literally tell the difference in recoil. I use about 60-65 grains and eyeball the shot more or less. I dont claim any of this to be how you should do it but it works so well in my gun that im not gonna change it at this point. Ive never patterned it but this is my rabbit gun and ive never had a shot that I executed properly that wasnt a solid hit/kill. It works so im keeping it lol. Its hell on cans and old bottles too.
