I am surprised I never heard this guy mentioned here. Lewis Wetzel was the most savage courageous indian fighter that ever lived around the 1790's near the ohio river. probably the best single fighter ever. after much of his family killed by indians he declared war on them. he hunted them alone ambushing hunting party of 4-5. he would shoot one get the others to chase him cause they could not out run him. then load his rifle at a full run stop shoot another then usually the last one would run away. imagine loading a flintlock on the run while being chased. anybody interested look him up cause it would take pages to describe what this guy did

you will not believe what that guy did. it was said that he didnt use the ramrod while running to reload banging the butt of the rifle down maybe without a patch or casted bullets instead of balls
