If interested, Jeremiah Johnson (1972) is on this Sunday night at 8 pm eastern time on AMC, American Movie Classics. Kurt

PS, The Wild Bunch is also on just before and after JJ.

Let me tell you all how terribly rotten my luck can be. I was really looking forward to watching this as the last time was many years ago. I just double checked the AMC listing and found my cable distributor (Comcast) has changed a few channels again. Wanta guess which channel they just changed beginning tomorrow? Well its AMC and to a channel I do not have because I only have the basic plan! Isn't that just blanking wonderful :cursing:

You can find a copy of JJ at your local walmart it's always in bargain bin in the 2.50 or 5.00 dollar range ,I got my copy years ago after I lost confidence in my VHS copy. I have a 4 year old grandson and it is his favorite movie we watch it almost every time he stays over.I made him a possibles bag and he has several toy muzzel loaders and we have to spread them all out on the bed with a powder horn and our snacks and juice and make a time of it. I never tire of this ritual I'll watch it with him just as long as he wants to , we do watch other movies but not as often as JJ. Sorry for rambling on about this .

I have the DVD," Jeremiah Johnson". Love that film. I saw a while back the Mountain Men. I am sorry I didn't get it as it is now gone.

I think that is wonderful. With all of the manure and garbage that children are exposed to today from Hollywood and the media, it makes me happy to hear that the child is interested in Jerimiah Johnson. Continue to nurture and feed his interest. Children are the future of muzzleloading as they are the future of any sport. Good job!

I tried my best. Went to the local Comcast (Cable) office yesterday and picked up 3 new boxes now required for digital cable. That manure about being OK for the digital changeover if you all ready had cable is just that, manure. Each one is $4.50 a month extra. Installed each one and then today called in to have them activated. Hah, the gentleman from one of those foreign countries on the other end couldn't make it happen. This would have given me the channel I needed to whatch the show tonight. Ive had marginal cable signal here for years I suppose there is not enough signal for them to communicate with the boxes. Just alittle more of what my luck is like.

Thanks for the recomendation on checking the big box stores for the Dvd/tape, I never thought about that. Its definitely worth a try.

See you'all later. Kurt.

That is just awesome!!! I love it when youngins are brought up watching quality shows! I hope my soon to be 4 year old son take a liking to my hobbies. He already has told his preschool teacher about how when he gets a little bit older, we are going out to hunt together.

BPJunky, I just saved some gas money and found JJ on line and I also purchased Mountain Men at the same time. $7.99/$6.99. Should have by Christmas. Kurt.

PS latest word from COMCAST is that they're new digital units are not tolerant of splitters in the line? Doesn't make sense to me as a splitter is needed with multiple TV's. we'll see.
