On January 27-29, 2010 there is going to be an auction of the Floyd Risvold collection. I doubt that there are too many of us on this forum that could afford to buy any of these items, but seeing them is an amazing experience. Mr. Risbold collected letters from the colonial, fur trade, revolution, war of 1812 and on and on. Go to this link, and the catalog is on the internet. I went through the fur trade letters and they are from all the names that we recognize. Good browsing.
