Grew up in the Alleghenies, hunted since 1967, and hunted the early years of the Pennsylvania flintlock season, moved to Montana in 1990. Thrilled with the new traditional muzzleloading season here, I've dusted off my flintlocks--Dixie Tennessee Mtn Rifle .50 I built from kit c. 1980 and a Harpers Ferry .58 reproduction--and save a tag or two for the traditional season. Seems I forgot most of what I "knew" about flintlocks 40 years ago so it's been fun getting back into it.

Welcome back, from SW OH. Congratulations on your hunt.
I had a 30+ dry period too. I'm enjoying catching up.
