Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
I need help identifying this percussion rifle. This is the only markings on it. I don't know caliber. The barrel has rifling in it. If you have any info or value it is greatly appreciated.
Looks like a Kentucky rifle made by a gunsmith trained in the European tradition! Lots of German/ European immigrants came here in the 1830’s-1870’s, maybe a few were gunsmiths. Nice find, with the bolster instead of the drum for the nipple. Someone on here will know more than I.
Comes out of the W. Virginia area. The name on the lock means nothing. Look on top of the barrel. Is it carved?
It may be worth 3 to 4k if it's carved, maybe more. It's probably about 1840ish
