Appears it's time to officially join this august group. I registered a few years ago, but had little to say or do. I'm an older guy, used to make chemicals, but I"m a bum now, retired in '18. The lockdown has interrupted my shooting, but am loading for several guns and building ammo inventory.
I've had a 50 cal flint since ~1995, and have shot it some. still have 8 of the 10 lb of FFF I bought then. So, haven't been real active. Gun is a Wilderness rifle, all steel, pretty plain jane. It shoots OK, albeit a little trouble with the lock. Got it back from Deer Creek and it works now.
I've been looking at kit pistols for some time now, and recently seriously. Looking hard at one of Chambers' English pistols. I like the shape more than the long barreled Kentucky pistols, although would not rule one out. I have a pretty decent shop, and fair woodworking experience. So, we'll see.....
Anyway, howdy all and see ya on the range...... -West
