Yes, I know all that. Was trying to make the point to mark lewis that sending ones GPR barrel to track to be used for parts to build a barrel was an uneconomical exercise. :thumbsup:
 
A little research shows that it saves $20.00.

A littlemore research shows that if you send them your old gpr barrel so that they can use the plug you will spend:

Barrel: $95
Underlugs: $10
Sights: $31
Dovetails: $60
Install Breech Plug $25
Thread for plug $25
Install rib $40

Total: $286

The 286 dollar barrel will not be blued or browned. If you just spring for the GM drop in for $199, you save $87 and still have your gpr barrel intact. Or, buy the GPR barrel for the $130 stated above and save $156 and still have your old gpr barrel intact.

So, where is the $20 saved! :confused:
 
They only charge $75.00 to install your stuff on a new barrel. That totals $170.00.
