I am looking for someone to make me a possible bag and horn for my fowler. Can you guys give some names and numbers please.

Don't know. That would be out of my price range.

I know of one source for both the horn & bag:

Matthew Fennewald
2302 Cotton Drive
Clarksburg, MO 65025
phone number: 573-787-2005

Not going to be cheap or soon. Be first rate, though.

If you do it yourself - price of a license, ball & powder. And a lot of work.

Moscow Fur and Hide has brain tanned and smoked deer hide going for $275 to $425.

Add another $35 to $150 to have a leather worker cut and make a pouch from it.

Lookin poor ain't cheap.

OMG, that had me literally laughing out loud for a solid 5 minutes.

I've gone broke trying to look poor.

Eric Fleisher was at the 18th Century Artisans Show and had bags for sale. His bags are copies of originals, and I dropped off yet another original for him to duplicate. Most of the bags for sale were vegetable tanned leather, but at least one was bark tanned. I'm sure he would make one from whatever, hair on or not.
