I shot my newly completed .45 flintlock build yesterday. The rifle shot good requiring very little sight adjustment. I am using a hunting load of 70 gr FFFg and a .440 RB patched with muzzle cut pillow ticking. Once I get the barrel broken in a little I will try to shrink the groups a little.

Ignition was very quick to my delight. I will be taking this rifle on a primitive hunt here in Florida in a couple weeks. Enjoy the video.

Outstanding! Great ignition. The muzzle flash and smoke are quite a thrill. Does your hat bill make any difference when it flashes?

To be honest I hadn't given much thought to how my hat bill effects the pan flash

Sure does, and I bet she only get a better with age.

I believe so! Many barrels shoot better after a few hundred rounds through them. Expect good things in the future.
