I was at a gunshow yesterday and spied the flintlock version of the first muzzleloading rifle I ever owned: an FIE "Kentucky " rifle. Feeling nostalgic, I started talking to the vendor. Looked really good on outside and he was firm on his price. I asked for a bore light and discovered that it had a .36 bore. These were .45. A closer look at barrel and it had WM. W OSBORN - ROSE CENTER RIFLE SHOP stamped on it. Seemed odd to put a custom barrel on such a rifle, but there ut was. So I bought it, as bore was nice. Got back to the table I was hanging out at and someone offered me quite a bit more than I had paid. Being as it was pouring rain and I was parked pretty far away, I sold it. Paid for gas, entry and lunch, and I met some kindred spirits, I figured it was a good deal. Only photos I took. Anyone know anything about the shop name?
