That is what it is 45 cal, slow twist. I acquired it a few years ago, never could get it to group, fouled bad and quickly.
Got that fiquired out .435 rb with felt wad, rifling still sharp, .440 and patch gets cut and blows out.
Had problems with the lock, would not stay at full cock, the sear? was breaking apart, so I draw filed on that, but I cut thru the hardening so it is now problem,
Long story short, who can help me out on finding /or having one made?
Also the nipple was severely rusted in drilled and re-tapped, was 6 x .75 now a 6 x 1.

HI
I'm new here but,I have been shooting for about 35years and I do gunsmithing as a hobby. I may be able to help with your lock. If it isn't too bad ,re case hardening may fix you up. I have done that before. I have also handmade the part you are working on .It was for my 30year old spanish Monarch
K-Mart hawken rifle.Man , that tumbler wore down in about 50 shots. The new part has been in use for many hundreds of shots Maybe yours could be fixed up.
I would give it a try .At least look it over.
