Thanks Gary , Ive read about 4 different ways he died, this makes 5, here we have a man who could of shot Washington twice but didnt because it wasnt "sporting to shoot him in the back" it seems and he ends up with his body getting shot full of holes and getting peed on (sorry for not knowing another way to put it) a bad ending to what sounds like a really good guy on the wrong side. :hmm: Fred :hatsoff:
 
Thanks for the link, there was also a special on the show Amercian Rifleman the other night called the Ferguson Rifle. Featured Ernie Cowan and Rick Keller making, loading and shooting the rifle. Amazing!
 
I used to live and work very near the battleground of King's Mountain, where Ferguson died and is buried. As best I could make out from a couple years of visiting the park for programs and demonstrations is that he was a pretty good fellow who just happened to be on the losing end....
