Determining manufacture date of Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle

Hi all,
Just wondering if there would be a way to determine what year a Dixie TMR was made?

It has a serial number starting 22xx.

Not much help, but early ones had a standard thread top jaw screw, later ones were metric.

Are you talking about a Dixie Gun Works TMR? If so I just went through the 1970 catalog and it is not listed.

Just found the first mention of the Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle, it was introduced in the 1995 catalog at $575.00 in both flintlock and percussion so your rifle was 1995 or later.

Has anyone kept a data base of serial number/ date of manufacture for these rifles?? I'm trying to find out when my rifle was made. These rifles were made by Miroku in Japan & sold thru Dixie Gun works from 1978 until discontinuation sometime after 1999. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
