All this talk about suburban deer makes me chuckle. I went out on my back deck this morning to take a soak on my hot tub. My pin oak is dropping acorns like rain. I had 5 deer emerge through the forsythia hedge. Then they started to feed on the acorns. This went on till I needed to have another sip of my coffee. I’m sure they were aware of me any way due to the sound of the running water in the tub. There is no doubt in my mind that at least one of the little deer was born in or next to that hedge.BJH
